After thoughtful design and lessons on proper planting of trees and shrubs, we headed to the Flat Iron Garden this week to plant highbush blueberries and paw paws! This is phase 1 of transforming this plot of land into a pollinator herb garden to inspire the surrounding community and support pollinators!
While students were busy at work, we got a wave from Mayor Knox and our picture taken by a Davidson Land Conservancy Board Member so they could share information about our garden project. It was a great afternoon!
to learn from and enjoy.
