What to Expect

Learn by Doing
In this program, students will engage in hands-on learning experiences focused on aquaponics and vermiculture (worms!). Participants will learn how these eco-friendly practices work to create thriving ecosystems and will have the unique opportunity to create their own mini sustainable vermiculture environment to take home!

Make Connections
After the program, participants will join Davidson Green School students for Lunch and Recess on our 3-acre campus. Come discover simple and effective ways we can incorporate sustainable systems into our lives!

Get Outside
Leave the desk and books behind and spend a day outside exploring, learning, and growing in our greenhouse and outdoor classrooms.

Who Is This Day For?
Sustainable Systems is open to all young learners aged 9-13 who are curious and eager to explore.
