If you have not checked out the Stickwork sculpture near the Davidson college library, please put it on your list. Patrick Dougherty travels the world creating these unique installations that inspire creativity and inspire. We are so fortunate that upper elementary and middle school were able to experience his work. We were able to walk through and interact with the sculpture, which inspired a lot of creative play. Students observed how the installation was built and then used their imaginations to develop origin stories of how this structure came to be.
