Sacred Words Blowing in the Wind - Upper El

For our peace circle yesterday, upper elementary students researched Tibetan Prayer Flags. The flags carry mantras including peace, compassion, strength and wisdom. Each color symbolizes something:

• blue for sky/space

• white for air or wind

• red for fire

• green for water

• yellow for earth

Each student had the opportunity to create their own flags, with images and words that they wanted to spread throughout the world.
