This week we dove into creating character growth in our stories, made progress on our Science Fair reports, and began our new unit on Radiant Energy!
On Monday, we discussed how to give our characters growth in our stories. Using different categories like likability and competence, we explored how our favorite stories move their characters along a scale from beginning to end, from less likable to more likable, or the reverse!
In the middle of our week, we made progress on our Science Fair reports before diving into our new unit on Radiant Energy! We began with some riddles to describe all the different types of waves on the electromagnetic spectrum. Then, after students had their guesses, we built the spectrum from Radio Waves to Gamma Rays.
Next week, we'll continue to learn more about waves and explore the speed of light!
