Hopefully everyone enjoyed the Literary Tea last night. I was so proud of the children for such a stellar performance and wonderful experience leading up to this event. As you may have guessed we have had such fun learning their poem and it tied in nicely with what we have been learning and experimenting with!
We switched gears slightly this morning as they had a drama practice with Ms. Maya for the upcoming performance of Seussical (April 7th) which I guarantee will not disappoint!
St. Patrick‘s Day led us into a discussion about some Irish traditions, Gaelic words and ultimately a discussion about our roots! Leprechaun taps were also made in the forest!
This morning we learned about the reasons for seasons as we approach the Spring Equinox on Sunday!
The children. Enjoyed tea with Ms. Kathleen this week as one of the calming strategies.
This time of year is so wonderful, so much to look forward to and so much to be grateful for. When I see how far the children have come since the beginning of the year, I am grateful. Not just academically but socially and emotionally. They are a tight knit group and all look out for each other and us, as was very clear this morning when I lost my balance taking off my shoes and one of our students asked if I was okay….so sweet!
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
