First full week complete! Routines are forming, and grace and courtesy lessons continue! Some of the group lessons that have been presented this week are how to politely interrupt without making a sound (ask them how and if they can’t remember I will show you on Tuesday evening at back-to-school night) how to push in your chair, how to roll a rug and how walk around a rug without disturbing someone’s work! The children are capable of so much if we give them the right opportunity to shine! Individual lessons are being presented to all the children.
Ms. Kathleen led all children in mindfulness, music and movement on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings before lunch. Kindergarten began Spanish, engineering and maker space and sustainability will begin next week. Ms. Paula gave the children a tour of the animals in their environment and discussed how to care for them and how to interact with them.
Back to school night is Tuesday September 6th, I am hoping everyone will be able to attend, we can discuss some of the important beginning of year things to know, upcoming events and everyone that wasn’t able to attend the opening ceremony will have an opportunity to see our new classroom!
