Well 2021 has not blown me away so far, but the children returning has! While they have been a little tired this week, they essentially picked up where they left off before the holidays!
The children have been enjoying many of the new works such as nutmeg grinding, soap grating, bubble making and threading a needle using a needle threader, sewing a button and learning a running stitch.
Some of the children enjoyed a lesson on the geometric solids and afterwards went on a classroom hunt to see if they could find similar solids in the classroom. Many skip counting chains are being worked on and books are being read! I is such a great time of year now, few distractions, everyone is settled and much learning is going on.
