Updated: Oct 19, 2019

The class is becoming normalized, the children are working hard, academically, and socially. Here are some of the materials they have been working with this week.

Sensorial: Sound cylinders

Developmental Aim of all sensorial materials: refinement of the ability to observe, compare, differentiate, reason, decide, solve problems, appreciate and participate in the world.

Practical; pairing and grading cylinders that produce sounds.

Future; music and music appreciation.

Sensorial: Rough and Smooth

Practical Aim; Discrimination of the difference between rough and smooth.

Future Aim; Tracing sandpaper letters/numbers and writing.

Sink or Float

Primary experimented to see what sinks and what floats. They were surprised to find a couple of objects that changed depending on whether they were empty or full!

Kindergarten experimenting to find out what happens when a meteroid hits the moon.
