Upper El, 3/8-3/12

We had some gorgeous weather days last week! We are moving along with our research for our Great Debate, as well as research for our argumentative essays. We're continuing to learn about the Revolutionary War, and students began thinking about academic choice projects to correspond with the unit. We also made some progress with our micronation this week! Our new class read aloud is Jacqueline Woodson's Harbor Me, which has engaged the class from the very first chapter!

We're all excited for the Science Fair coming up this week, as well as our daily Spirit Week themes! Next week, students will walk to the Greenway with Ms. Kathleen on Monday, and on Wednesday, we'll head to Carolina Goat Yoga. Thanks to those who have been able to get their forms in! Remember, there are TWO permission slips to submit on the DGS site, PLUS a waiver (sent as an email attachment) that should be printed out and sent in, or emailed directly to me. Thanks for your support with this!

Please see a more detailed recap of our week below!
