Primary weeks 9/14 & 9/21

What a change in weather this week! For once the weather was appropriate as we discussed the changing of the season and the reason for the seasons!

Last week we began our study of the body beginning with the skeleton inside us. The younger children identified bones as we sang a modified version of the hokey pokey and jiggled around outside. We also drew our bodies on the driveway and sang ‘dem bones’! Kindergarten made ‘pasta skeletons’!

Lots of work going on, in practical life a favorite at the moment is pumpkin tee hammering. A fun work in sensorial this week was rolling a marble down the broad(brown stairs). Math and language works are also included in the pictures...addition with the decimal system, ten boards, object and sound association, moveable alphabet word blending and reading!
